Many people know that my heart is in cars. My newest (and long-lasting so far) goal in life is to make my living by filming and photographing cars. With that said, that's not my picture above. I don't know where my version went. This next picture is mine. Balance.
Alright. So now I'm going to do a run down of what I expect my garage to look like in seven or so years.
I'll probably keep the S2000 - I love that car. I think it may soon get a name. You can see it and it's engine above.
So, order that I'll try and acquire these in:
1.) GMC Typhoon
4.3 Turbo V6 producing nearly 300hp and 350ft/lbs.
Add in AWD and you have an SUV doing 0-60 in barely over 5 seconds.
The hick in me loves it.
2.) 1956 Chevy Nomad
My dad has a '57 he's restoring. I prefer the look of the '56 and really hope my son wants a '55 to complete the circle. I really want to drop in an LS7 and put it on a Corvette chassis but that'll come later
3.) Lotus Elise
I have wanted one of these for ages. I'm not sure how long I'll have it as many people switch from these to the more livable S2000 soooo.... I've always entertained the idea of dropping a GM 2L Turbo to get a bit more power...
4.) Lincoln Continental Convertible ('61-'69)
Black with a white top and interior. Big ass speakers. Me and 4 friends cruising during the summer. Perfection.
5.) Triumph TR6
Dropped, flared and with a V8. Can you tell my love for small roadsters?
An added benefit is being able to custom make wooden dash, steering wheel and shift knob.
Wow, no practical daily drivers. Even with an unlimited budget, I'm not sure what I'd pick for a DD. I can say that I'd want something with room, fun to drive and with paddle shifters. My problem with responsible Daily Drivers is those days when the sea is parted and the fun roads clear out, ready for my assault on them. The immediate reaction is "I wish I was in my ____" and I'd soon be driving an impractical DD again.
